Sparkline provides coaching and training on how to create presentations that engage and motivate your audience. Your audience may be your team, executives, board of directors, customers, partners or your peers. They absolutely want to hear your message but they are tired of slides with too many words and horrible clip art.
Like it or not presentations are here to stay, they are important now more than ever. If you want your project/idea approved or your customer to buy from you – you have to present in some way shape or form. Ideally the message should be clear, easy to understand and most importantly memorable.
We can show you how to spend less time staring at blank slides, playing with transitions that don’t make sense and wondering what to do next. There is absolutely a better way to get your presentations done faster and end up with a far better result. Believe it or not you can have fun with them and you may even learn to love giving presentations!
Three simple things you can do to improve your presentations now:
Record yourself, talk to a mirror, or practice on someone you trust that will give you candid and constructive feedback. This is by far the root cause of most bad presentations you give or receive. Practice builds confidence and allows you to clarify your message.
- Know your content.
Don’t read your slides word for word to your audience – they can read them just fine on their own. When they are reading, they are not listening to you. Most people hide behind their slides and read them because they have not practiced or prepared properly.
- Know your audience.
You have to do your homework on audience members so you can understand their issues and concerns. It is absolutely vital that you anticipate what they want to know and how they prefer their information delivered.
