Castable pan mixers blend refractory castable material — a pourable, self-supporting refractory concrete — to a uniform, flowable consistency before it is cast into furnace, kiln or flue linings and precast refractory shapes. The pan-and-roller mixing action prevents aggregate degradation while still achieving thorough, lump-free blending, which is critical to the cured castable's strength and thermal performance. These mixers are used by refractory installation contractors and precast-shape manufacturers serving cement, steel, aluminium and petrochemical plants.
